Ingredients

  • portobello mushrooms (250g)
  • Shiitake mushrooms (150g)
  • extra-virgin olive oil (30ml)
  • shallot (1, finely diced)
  • garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • fresh thyme (1 tbsp, chopped)
  • pear (1, ripe but firm, thinly sliced)
  • balsamic vinegar (60ml)
  • honey (1 tbsp)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Start by cleaning the mushrooms and slicing them into thin strips. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the shallot and garlic. Cook until fragrant, then add the mushrooms and thyme. Saute until the mushrooms are golden brown and caramelized.

Add the sliced pear to the skillet and drizzle with balsamic vinegar and honey. Cook for a few more minutes until the pear is tender and caramelized. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer the mushroom and pear mixture to a serving platter and garnish with fresh thyme leaves. Serve hot and enjoy the delightful mix of flavors and textures in this unique dish.
