Today’s Culinary Invention: Lemon Rosemary Beef Stuffed Peppers

I’m excited to share a new recipe with you today that’s perfect for a cozy night in or a dinner party with friends. These Lemon Rosemary Beef Stuffed Peppers are a unique twist on a classic dish, with a refreshing citrusy flavor and fragrant herbaceous notes that will tantalize your taste buds.

To make this dish, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 4 bell peppers
  • 400g ground beef
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 sprigs of rosemary, chopped
  • 200g cooked rice
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

You will also need the following kitchen tools:

  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • frying pan
  • wooden spoon
  • baking dish

Start by preheating your oven to 180°C. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes from the inside. Place the peppers in a baking dish and set aside.

In a frying pan, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened. Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Once the beef is cooked, stir in the cooked rice, lemon zest, and chopped rosemary. Mix everything together until well combined. Spoon the beef mixture into the hollowed-out bell peppers, packing it in tightly.

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the peppers are tender. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to brown the tops slightly.

Once cooked, remove the stuffed peppers from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. The tangy lemon zest, aromatic rosemary, and savory beef flavors will come together in a delightful symphony of taste.

The approximate total weight of the cooked dish is 1200g, with 4 servings. Each serving weighs around 300g and has approximately 400 calories.

A clever tip for this recipe is to add a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top of the stuffed peppers before baking for an extra flavor boost. The cheesy crust adds a deliciously gooey element to the dish that will have everyone coming back for seconds.

I hope you give these Lemon Rosemary Beef Stuffed Peppers a try and enjoy the bright and savory flavors they have to offer. Feel free to experiment with different herbs or spices to make this dish your own. Happy cooking!
