Today, I’m excited to share a unique twist on traditional tacos that combines the sweetness of peaches with savory pork. This dish is perfect for a casual summer dinner with friends or a fun family meal. The pairing of juicy peaches and tender pork creates a flavor explosion that you won’t soon forget!

Ingredients:

  • pork shoulder, 500g
  • peaches, 2 large
  • red onion, 1 medium
  • bell pepper, 1 large
  • cumin, 1 tsp
  • paprika, 1 tsp
  • cayenne pepper, 1/2 tsp
  • lime juice, 2 tbsp
  • corn tortillas, 8
  • cilantro, for garnish
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • skillet
  • wooden spoon

To start, heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the cubed pork shoulder. Season with cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Cook until the pork is browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.

Next, add the diced peaches, sliced red onion, and bell pepper to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are tender and the pork is cooked through. Squeeze lime juice over the mixture and stir to combine.

Warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet or directly over a gas flame for a few seconds on each side. Fill each tortilla with a generous scoop of the peachy pork mixture and top with chopped cilantro.

Serve the tacos hot and enjoy the unique blend of flavors in each bite!
