Hey there, foodies! Today, I’m excited to share a unique twist on a classic favorite — my savory pancake pie. This dish is perfect for a cozy weekend brunch or a quick weeknight dinner. The combination of fluffy pancakes and savory fillings will surely surprise your taste buds!

Ingredients:

  • pancake mix (200g)
  • milk (250ml)
  • eggs (2)
  • bacon strips (100g)
  • cheddar cheese (150g)
  • green onions (50g)
  • salt
  • pepper

  • oven
  • cheese grater

To start, prepare your pancake batter by combining the pancake mix, milk, eggs, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Whisk until smooth. In a heated skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, then chop it into small pieces. Grate the cheddar cheese and slice the green onions.

Next, pour a ladle of pancake batter into the skillet to make a large pancake. Let it cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook the other side. Repeat this process to make a total of three large pancakes.

Once your pancakes are ready, it’s time to assemble the pie. Place one pancake at the bottom of a greased baking dish. Spread a layer of chopped bacon, cheddar cheese, and green onions on top. Repeat with the remaining pancakes and filling, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake the pancake pie for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing into wedges.

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 1000g, with 6 servings. Each serving weighs around 167g, with an approximate calorie count of 350 per serving.
