Today, I’m excited to share a brand new recipe that I’ve been experimenting with in my kitchen. This dish is perfect for a cozy night in or a special weekend treat. With its unique combination of ingredients, I know you’re going to love it!

Ingredients:

  • caramelized onions (150g)
  • blue cheese (100g)
  • ripe pear (1)
  • walnuts (50g)
  • puff pastry sheet (1)

Kitchen Tools:

  • baking sheet
  • knife
  • cutting board

Preparation:

Start by preheating your oven to 200°C. Lay out your puff pastry sheet on a baking sheet. Spread a layer of caramelized onions on the pastry, followed by crumbled blue cheese. Thinly slice the ripe pear and arrange the slices on top. Sprinkle the walnuts over the pear.

Next, fold the edges of the puff pastry in to create a rustic galette shape. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.

Serving:

Once the galette is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving. This dish is best enjoyed fresh out of the oven, with the warm, gooey cheese and sweet pear complementing each other perfectly.

Tips:

For an extra flavor boost, you can drizzle a balsamic reduction over the galette before serving. The tangy sweetness of the balsamic pairs beautifully with the savory cheese and caramelized onions.
