Savory Pumpkin Pie with a Twist

Today, I’m excited to share a unique recipe that combines classic pumpkin pie with a savory twist. This dish is perfect for cozy fall evenings when you’re craving something warming and comforting. The unexpected combination of flavors will surely surprise and delight your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • 400g pumpkin puree
  • 150g feta cheese
  • 10g fresh thyme
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 eggs
  • 200ml milk
  • 50g flour
  • 50g butter
  • to taste

To start, preheat your oven to 180°C. In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, crumbled feta cheese, chopped thyme, minced garlic, eggs, milk, flour, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.

In a frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the pumpkin mixture to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens slightly. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth out the top.

Bake the savory pumpkin pie in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and set. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

This savory pumpkin pie weighs approximately 800g when cooked, serves 4, with each serving weighing around 200g. Each serving is approximately 250 calories.
