Today’s Unique Appetizer: Spicy Mango Shrimp Bites

As the weather starts to warm up, I find myself craving light and refreshing dishes with a hint of spice. That’s why I’m excited to share my latest creation with you all today: Spicy Mango Shrimp Bites. These little bites are perfect for entertaining or simply enjoying as a flavorful appetizer any day of the week.

Ingredients:

  • 300g large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 ripe mango (diced)
  • 2 tbsp chili paste
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • wooden skewers
  • knife

To start, heat a skillet over medium heat. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, then cook them in the skillet until they are pink and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced mango, chili paste, fresh cilantro, and lime juice. Mix well to combine all the flavors.

Take a wooden skewer and thread a shrimp onto it, followed by a spoonful of the mango mixture. Repeat with the remaining shrimp and mango mixture until you have assembled all the bites.

Arrange the Spicy Mango Shrimp Bites on a platter and serve immediately. The combination of sweet mango, spicy chili paste, and succulent shrimp is sure to delight your taste buds.

For an extra burst of flavor, try grilling the shrimp instead of pan-searing them. The grill adds a subtle smokiness that pairs perfectly with the sweet and spicy mango mixture.
