Today’s Special: Spicy Pineapple Beef Stir-Fry

Hello, fellow foodies! Today, I’m excited to share a delicious and unique recipe for Spicy Pineapple Beef Stir-Fry. This dish is perfect for those who love a combination of sweet and spicy flavors with a touch of tropical fruitiness. It’s a great way to spice up your weeknight dinner routine with something different and exciting.

For this recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • beef sirloin strips (400g)
  • pineapple chunks (200g)
  • bell peppers, sliced (150g)
  • onion, sliced (100g)
  • garlic, minced (15g)
  • fresh ginger, grated (10g)
  • soy sauce (30ml)
  • hoisin sauce (45ml)
  • sriracha sauce (15ml)
  • rice vinegar (15ml)
  • brown sugar (20g)
  • cornstarch (10g)
  • vegetable oil (30ml)
  • sesame seeds, for garnish

To bring this dish to life, you’ll need the following kitchen tools:

  • wok
  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • garlic press
  • grater
  • mixing bowl

Start by marinating the beef sirloin strips with soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sriracha sauce, rice vinegar, and brown sugar. Let it sit for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. In a hot wok, heat vegetable oil and sauté minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until cooked through. Remove the beef from the wok and set it aside.

In the same wok, add sliced onions and bell peppers, sautéing until slightly softened. Return the cooked beef to the wok, along with pineapple chunks. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry, then add it to the wok to thicken the sauce. Stir well to coat the beef and vegetables evenly.

Serve the Spicy Pineapple Beef Stir-Fry hot, garnished with sesame seeds for an added crunch. This dish weighs approximately 900g after cooking, with 4 servings totaling 225g each. One serving of this flavorful stir-fry is estimated to contain around 400 calories.

A unique tip for this recipe is to add a splash of pineapple juice from the can of pineapple chunks to the marinade for an extra burst of tropical sweetness. This simple addition takes the dish to a whole new level of flavor!

I hope you enjoy making and eating this Spicy Pineapple Beef Stir-Fry as much as I do. Feel free to customize it with your favorite vegetables or protein choices to make it your own. Happy cooking!
