This Spicy Tofu Tikka Masala is perfect for those who love bold and adventurous flavors. I created this recipe as a fun way to spice up our weeknight dinners and introduce some new and exciting ingredients to our meals.

Ingredients:

  • extra-firm tofu (400g)
  • tomato paste (50g)
  • coconut milk (200ml)
  • chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (2 peppers)
  • garam masala (1 tbsp)
  • lime (1, juiced)
  • garlic (3 cloves, minced)
  • onion (1, chopped)
  • bell pepper (1, sliced)
  • cooked rice for serving

Kitchen Tools:

  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • skillet
  • wooden spoon
  • blender

To start, drain the tofu and press out any excess water. Cut the tofu into cubes and set aside. In a blender, combine the tomato paste, coconut milk, chipotle peppers, garam masala, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth to create the tikka masala sauce.

In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the garlic, onion, and bell pepper until softened. Add the tofu cubes and pour the tikka masala sauce over the mixture. Stir well to coat the tofu and vegetables in the sauce. Allow the dish to simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serve the Spicy Tofu Tikka Masala over cooked rice and garnish with fresh cilantro, if desired. This dish pairs well with a side of naan bread or a crisp green salad.
