Curried Pumpkin Ravioli with Sage Brown Butter Sauce

Hello, lovely foodies! Today, I’m excited to share a recipe that’s perfect for the crisp autumn weather we’re experiencing. As the leaves turn golden and the air becomes chilly, I can’t help but crave warm, comforting dishes with bold flavors. This Curried Pumpkin Ravioli with Sage Brown Butter Sauce is a delicious and unique twist on a classic pasta dish that will surely warm your soul.

For this recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 300g pumpkin puree
  • 10g curry powder
  • 1 pack of wonton wrappers
  • 100g butter
  • 10 fresh sage leaves
  • 50g Parmesan cheese
  • to taste

To create this dish, you’ll need the following kitchen tools:

  • rolling pin
  • frying pan
  • pot
  • knife

Start by mixing the pumpkin puree and curry powder in a bowl, adding salt and pepper to taste. Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and spoon a small amount of the pumpkin mixture onto it. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it over to form a triangle, pressing to seal the edges. Continue until all the filling is used up.

In a pot of boiling water, cook the ravioli for about 3-4 minutes or until they float to the surface.

While the ravioli cook, melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the fresh sage leaves and cook until the butter turns golden brown and the sage leaves become crispy.

Once the ravioli are cooked, drain them and add them to the pan with the sage brown butter sauce. Toss gently to coat the ravioli with the sauce.

Serve the Curried Pumpkin Ravioli with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top. The creamy pumpkin filling with warm curry spices, paired with the fragrant sage brown butter sauce, creates a harmonious blend of flavors that is both comforting and sophisticated.

The approximate total weight of the cooked dish is 600g, with 4 servings and an average weight of 150g per serving. Each serving is approximately 400 calories.

One unique tip for this recipe is to garnish the dish with toasted pumpkin seeds for added crunch and texture.

I hope you enjoy making and savoring this Curried Pumpkin Ravioli with Sage Brown Butter Sauce as much as I do. Feel free to experiment with different herbs or spices to make it your own. Happy cooking!
