Today’s Unique Dish: Spicy Cinnamon Lamb Stew

Hello, foodies! Today, I’m excited to share a recipe that combines the warm flavors of cinnamon with the bold kick of spicy peppers in a hearty lamb stew. This dish is perfect for cozy winter nights when you’re craving something rich and satisfying. Let’s get cooking!

Ingredients:

  • 500g lamb shoulder, cubed
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 dried red chili peppers
  • 500ml beef broth
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • knife
  • cutting board
  • large pot
  • wooden spoon
  • measuring cups

I start by heating olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Once hot, I add the diced onions and minced garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant. Then, I add the cubed lamb shoulder, browning it on all sides to lock in the juices.

Next, I pour in the beef broth and diced tomatoes, along with the cinnamon sticks and dried red chili peppers for that spicy kick. I season with salt and pepper to taste, then let the stew simmer on low heat for about 1.5 hours to allow the flavors to meld together.

After the stew has simmered, I add in the sliced carrots and diced potatoes, cooking until the vegetables are tender and the lamb is fall-apart tender. The aroma of cinnamon and spice fills the kitchen, creating a truly mouthwatering experience.

Once the stew is ready, I ladle it into bowls, making sure to include a cinnamon stick and dried chili pepper in each serving for an extra burst of flavor. The tender lamb and hearty vegetables are perfectly complemented by the warmth of the cinnamon and the heat of the peppers.

Serving:

The approximate total weight of the cooked dish is 1800g, with about 6 servings. Each serving weighs around 300g, with an estimated calorie count of 350 calories per serving.

One clever tip for this dish is to let it sit overnight in the fridge before reheating and serving. This allows the flavors to fully develop and intensify, creating an even more delicious dining experience.

I hope you enjoy trying this unique Spicy Cinnamon Lamb Stew! Feel free to customize it with your favorite vegetables or adjust the spice level to suit your taste. Happy cooking!
