Spicy Fusion: Cheesy Kimchi Quesadillas

Cheesy Kimchi Quesadillas

Today, I’m sharing a unique twist on a classic Mexican dish that’s perfect for a cozy night in or a fun gathering with friends. My cheesy kimchi quesadillas are a fusion of spicy Korean flavors and gooey, melted cheese, creating a mouthwatering combination that will leave you craving more. Let’s get started!

Ingredients:

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 150g of kimchi, chopped
  • 200g of cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 200g of mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Kitchen Tools:

  • skillet
  • spatula
  • knife
  • chopping board

Start by heating a skillet over medium heat and brushing one side of a flour tortilla with olive oil. Place the tortilla, oil-side down, in the skillet. Sprinkle a generous amount of cheddar and mozzarella cheese on half of the tortilla. Add a layer of chopped kimchi on top of the cheese, then sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds over the kimchi.

Once the cheese starts to melt and the bottom of the tortilla is golden brown, fold the tortilla in half to enclose the filling. Press down gently with a spatula to seal the quesadilla. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is fully melted. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas and filling ingredients.

Remove the quesadillas from the skillet and allow them to cool slightly before slicing them into wedges. Serve hot and enjoy the gooey, spicy, and tangy flavors of these cheesy kimchi quesadillas!

Tips:

For an extra kick of heat, add a drizzle of sriracha sauce inside the quesadillas before folding them.
