Today’s Fusion Dish: Spicy Peanut Butter Ramen

As the weather starts to cool down, I find myself craving warm, comforting meals with a bit of a kick. That’s why I’m excited to share my latest creation with you: Spicy Peanut Butter Ramen. This dish combines the rich, nutty flavor of peanut butter with the bold heat of spicy peppers, creating a truly unique fusion dish that will warm you from the inside out.

For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • ramen noodles (200g)
  • peanut butter (100g)
  • soy sauce (50ml)
  • sriracha (30ml)
  • chicken broth (500ml)
  • green onions, thinly sliced (2 stalks)
  • red bell pepper, thinly sliced (1)
  • garlic, minced (2 cloves)
  • fresh ginger, grated (1-inch piece)
  • sesame oil (15ml)

To prepare this dish, you will need the following kitchen tools:

  • saucepan
  • wooden spoon
  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • grater

Start by bringing a pot of water to a boil and cooking the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. In a separate saucepan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant.

Next, pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer. Stir in the peanut butter, soy sauce, and sriracha until the peanut butter is fully incorporated and the sauce is smooth. Add the sliced red bell pepper and continue to simmer until the peppers are slightly softened.

Once the noodles are cooked, drain them and divide them into serving bowls. Ladle the spicy peanut sauce over the noodles, making sure to include plenty of the bell peppers. Garnish with sliced green onions and an extra drizzle of sriracha for a bit of extra heat.

This Spicy Peanut Butter Ramen dish weighs approximately 800 grams once cooked and serves 4 people. Each serving is around 200 grams and has an estimated calorie count of 400. A clever tip for this recipe is to add a spoonful of honey to the sauce for a touch of sweetness to balance out the heat.

I hope you enjoy diving into this delicious Fusion dish and don’t be afraid to get creative and make it your own. Happy cooking!
