Today, I’m sharing my recipe for Spicy Pumpkin Gnocchi with a savory Sage Butter Sauce. This dish combines the earthy sweetness of pumpkin with a kick of spice and the richness of sage-infused butter. It’s the perfect comforting meal for a cozy night in.

Ingredients:

  • 200g pumpkin puree
  • 150g semolina flour
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 50g butter
  • 10 fresh sage leaves
  • 50g parmesan cheese, grated
  • to taste

To start, mix the pumpkin puree, semolina flour, cayenne pepper, nutmeg, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl until it forms a dough. Roll the dough into small gnocchi shapes using your hands or a fork. In a pot of boiling water, cook the gnocchi until they float to the surface, then remove them with a slotted spoon and set aside.

In a frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the fresh sage leaves and fry until crispy. Remove the sage leaves and set aside. Add the cooked gnocchi to the pan and sauté until they are lightly browned.

Once the gnocchi are cooked to your desired texture, sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese and the crispy sage leaves. Serve hot and enjoy the delicious blend of flavors in every bite.
