I’m so excited to share one of my favorite dishes with you today — candied jalapeño bacon. This dish is perfect for adding a spicy and sweet kick to any meal or snack. The combination of crispy bacon, spicy jalapeños, and sweet brown sugar is truly addictive. I love making this dish for brunch or as a topping for salads and sandwiches. Preparation

To make candied jalapeño bacon, you will need the following ingredients:

  • bacon (250g)
  • jalapeños (50g)
  • brown sugar (50g)

You will also need the following kitchen tools:

  • baking sheet
  • aluminum foil
  • oven

Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lining a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Arrange the bacon slices on the baking sheet, making sure they do not overlap. Next, thinly slice the jalapeños and sprinkle them over the bacon.

Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the bacon and jalapeños, ensuring that each slice is coated. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and caramelized.

Tips

For an extra tasty twist, try adding a sprinkle of smoked paprika or cayenne pepper to the brown sugar mixture before baking. This will add a smoky or extra spicy flavor to the candied jalapeño bacon.

Serving

Once the bacon is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. You can enjoy candied jalapeño bacon on its own as a snack or appetizer, or use it as a topping for salads, sandwiches, or even desserts. The possibilities are endless!
