Halloween Recipe: Spooky Spiderweb Brownies

Hey there, foodies! Today, I’m excited to share a perfect Halloween treat that will be a hit at any spooky gathering. These Spooky Spiderweb Brownies are not only delicious but also incredibly fun to make. Let’s dive right in!

Ingredients:

  • 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 150g unsalted butter
  • 200g granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 80g all-purpose flour
  • 20g cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 100g white chocolate chips
  • black gel food coloring

Kitchen Tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • saucepan
  • spatula
  • 9×9-inch baking pan

I start by melting the dark chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat until smooth. In a mixing bowl, I whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. Then, I pour in the melted chocolate mixture and stir until everything is incorporated.

Next, I add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt to the bowl and fold them in gently with a spatula. Once the batter is smooth, I fold in the white chocolate chips. I pour the batter into a greased 9×9-inch baking pan and smooth the top.

To create the spiderweb design, I take a toothpick dipped in black gel food coloring and draw circles on top of the brownie batter. Then, using a toothpick, I drag lines from the center of each circle to the edges to create a spiderweb pattern.

I bake the brownies in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Once baked, I let them cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.

These Spooky Spiderweb Brownies weigh approximately 1100g once cooked, making around 12 servings. Each serving weighs about 90g, with an estimated calorie count of 300 per brownie.

One unique tip for these brownies is to add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the batter for a subtle spicy kick that complements the rich chocolate flavor perfectly.

I hope you give these Spooky Spiderweb Brownies a try and have a blast making them your own. Happy Halloween, and enjoy!
