Today’s Unique Recipe: Honey Sriracha Glazed Carrot Falafel

Today, I’m excited to share a new recipe that combines sweet, spicy, and savory flavors in a delightful and unexpected way. This dish is perfect for a cozy fall evening or a gathering with friends. Let’s dive into making these delicious Honey Sriracha Glazed Carrot Falafel!

Ingredients:

  • 250g carrots, grated
  • 200g canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 50g all-purpose flour
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Kitchen Tools:

  • food processor
  • baking sheet
  • skillet
  • spatula

To start, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a food processor, combine the grated carrots, chickpeas, flour, garlic, onion, cumin, salt, and pepper. Pulse until the mixture comes together but still has some texture.

Using your hands, shape the mixture into small falafel balls and place them on the lined baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

While the falafel is baking, heat the remaining olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the honey and sriracha sauce, stirring until well combined. Once the falafel is done, transfer them to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the honey sriracha glaze.

Serve the Honey Sriracha Glazed Carrot Falafel warm, garnished with sesame seeds and fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy the unique blend of flavors and textures in this creative dish!
