I’m excited to share this unique and delicious recipe for Caramelized Onion and Pear Pizza. It’s the perfect combination of sweet and savory, with a hint of freshness from the pears. This recipe is great for a cozy night in or a casual gathering with friends.

Ingredients:

  • pizza dough (200g)
  • red onion (1, sliced)
  • butter (2 tbsp)
  • brown sugar (1 tbsp)
  • pear (1, thinly sliced)
  • blue cheese (50g, crumbled)
  • walnuts (30g, chopped)
  • fresh thyme (1 tbsp)

Kitchen Tools:

  • skillet
  • oven
  • pizza stone

To start, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape. Transfer the dough to a pizza stone and set aside.

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced red onion and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Stir in the brown sugar and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.

Spread the caramelized onion mixture evenly over the pizza dough. Top with thinly sliced pears, crumbled blue cheese, and chopped walnuts. Sprinkle fresh thyme over the top.

Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing.

The total weight of the cooked pizza is approximately 700g, with 4 servings. Each serving is around 175g. One serving of this delicious Caramelized Onion and Pear Pizza is estimated to be around 300 calories.
