Tangy Goat Cheese Fig Salad

Warm Goat Cheese Salad with Honey-Roasted Figs

Today, I’m excited to share one of my favorite salad recipes that perfectly combines the sweetness of honey-roasted figs with the creaminess of warm goat cheese. This dish is perfect for a cozy dinner party or a special solo meal where you want to treat yourself to something delicious and unique.

Ingredients:

  • 12 fresh figs
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 150g mixed greens
  • 150g goat cheese
  • 50g walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Kitchen Tools:

  • oven
  • baking tray
  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • frying pan

To start, preheat your oven to 180°C. Cut the figs in half and place them on a baking tray. Drizzle the honey over the figs and roast them in the oven for about 10-15 minutes until they’re golden and caramelized.

While the figs are roasting, heat a frying pan over medium heat. Slice the goat cheese into rounds and place them in the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are warm and slightly melted.

In a large mixing bowl, toss the mixed greens with the walnuts, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil. Divide the salad onto plates and top with the warm honey-roasted figs and goat cheese rounds.

This warm goat cheese salad with honey-roasted figs serves 4 and weighs approximately 900g in total. Each serving is around 225g and contains approximately 300 calories.

Tip: For an extra crunch, try adding some crispy prosciutto or pancetta to this salad for a delicious twist!
