Deliciously Tangy Lemon Basil Chicken

Today, I’m excited to share a vibrant and flavorful dish that screams summer to me. The combination of fresh lemon and fragrant basil creates a zesty and refreshing twist on a classic chicken recipe that is sure to impress your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • boneless, skinless chicken breasts (400g)
  • fresh lemon juice (50ml)
  • fresh basil leaves, chopped (20g)
  • garlic cloves, minced (2)
  • honey (15ml)
  • olive oil (30ml)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • cutting board
  • chef’s knife
  • meat tenderizer
  • mixing bowl
  • grill pan

To start, pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for even cooking. In a mixing bowl, combine the lemon juice, chopped basil, minced garlic, honey, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Marinate the chicken breasts in this mixture for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Preheat a grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks. Remove from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Serve the grilled lemon basil chicken hot with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete and delicious meal.
