Today’s Unique Dish: Spicy Chocolate Chip Nachos

Growing up, my family always had a tradition of making nachos on movie nights. However, I wanted to put a unique twist on this classic dish and came up with Spicy Chocolate Chip Nachos. The combination of sweet and savory flavors really takes the traditional nachos to the next level, making them perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • oven
  • baking sheet
  • mixing bowl
  • whisk

For the nachos:
– 200g corn tortilla chips
– 100g dark chocolate chips
– 50g chopped jalapeños
– 50g shredded cheddar cheese
– 50g chopped cilantro

For the chocolate sauce:
– 100g dark chocolate
– 50ml heavy cream
– 1 tsp chili powder

Preparation:

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, combine the corn tortilla chips, dark chocolate chips, chopped jalapeños, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped cilantro. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients.

Spread the mixture out on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

While the nachos are baking, prepare the chocolate sauce. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the dark chocolate with the heavy cream and chili powder. Stir until smooth and well combined.

Once the nachos are done, drizzle the chocolate sauce over the top and serve hot.

Serving:

This dish weighs approximately 600g total and serves 4 people. Each serving is around 150g and has an estimated calorie count of 350.

Special Tip:

For an extra burst of flavor, sprinkle some sea salt over the nachos before serving. It will enhance both the sweet and savory elements of this unique dish.
