Today, I’m excited to share a fusion recipe inspired by my recent travels to Thailand. The vibrant street food culture and bold flavors of Thai cuisine have inspired me to put a creative twist on a classic dish. These Thai-inspired tacos are a perfect blend of savory, spicy, and sweet flavors that will transport your taste buds to the bustling streets of Bangkok.

For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • ground pork
  • red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • carrot, julienned
  • garlic, minced
  • fish sauce
  • soy sauce
  • sriracha sauce
  • brown sugar
  • taco shells
  • lime, cut into wedges for serving

Prepare your kitchen tools:

  • skillet
  • spatula
  • knife
  • cutting board

Start by heating a skillet over medium heat and adding the ground pork. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. Add the garlic, red bell pepper, and carrot to the skillet, cooking until the vegetables are tender.

In a small bowl, whisk together the fish sauce, soy sauce, sriracha sauce, and brown sugar. Pour the sauce over the pork and vegetable mixture, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Warm the taco shells according to package instructions. Fill each taco shell with a generous spoonful of the Thai-inspired pork mixture. Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side for a refreshing burst of citrus.
