As the weather starts to cool down, I find myself craving cozy comfort foods that are a little out of the ordinary. Today, I’m excited to share with you my recipe for a Caramelized Onion and Fig Pizza. This unique combination of savory and sweet flavors is sure to tantalize your taste buds and become a new favorite in your recipe collection.

Ingredients:

  • Pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • Caramelized onions (200g)
  • Fresh figs, sliced (150g)
  • Goat cheese (100g)
  • Arugula (50g)
  • Balsamic glaze

Kitchen Tools:

  • Pizza stone
  • Rolling pin
  • Saucepan
  • Chef’s knife

To start, preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) with the pizza stone inside to warm up. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into your desired shape and thickness. Transfer the dough to the hot pizza stone.

Next, spread the caramelized onions evenly over the dough, followed by the sliced fresh figs and crumbled goat cheese. Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

Once the pizza is done, remove it from the oven and top with a handful of fresh arugula. Drizzle with balsamic glaze for a tangy kick. Slice and serve hot.
