Hey there, foodies! Today, I’m excited to share a unique and flavorful recipe with you all. I was inspired to create this dish after a recent trip to Thailand where I fell in love with the combination of mango and basil in traditional dishes. This Mango Basil Chicken Stir-Fry is a perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors that will surely tantalize your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • 200g chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 1 ripe mango, cubed
  • a handful of fresh basil leaves
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Kitchen Tools:

  • wok
  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • wooden spoon

To start, heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sliced chicken breast, stirring until the chicken is cooked through. Next, toss in the sliced bell pepper and cubed mango, stirring for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, fish sauce, and brown sugar until well combined. Pour this sauce over the stir-fry in the wok and continue to stir everything together until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients evenly.

Finally, tear the fresh basil leaves and sprinkle them over the stir-fry, giving it a final toss to incorporate the aromatic basil. Serve the Mango Basil Chicken Stir-Fry hot over steamed rice or noodles for a delicious and satisfying meal.

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 600g, with 4 servings at around 150g each. One serving of this dish is estimated to be around 300 calories.
