A Unique Twist on Classic Mac and Cheese

Today, I’m excited to share a fun and flavorful twist on a classic comfort food dish — mac and cheese! This recipe combines unexpected ingredients to create a dish that’s sure to delight your taste buds and leave you craving more.

Ingredients:

  • elbow pasta (200g)
  • smoked gouda cheese (150g)
  • chorizo sausage (100g)
  • canned pineapple chunks (50g)
  • coconut milk (100ml)
  • curry powder (2 tsp)
  • breadcrumbs (50g)

Kitchen Tools:

  • saucepan
  • oven-proof dish
  • grater

To start, cook the elbow pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. In a saucepan, heat the coconut milk over low heat and stir in the curry powder until well combined. Grate the smoked gouda cheese and slice the chorizo sausage into small pieces.

Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and return it to the pot. Add the smoked gouda cheese, chorizo sausage, canned pineapple chunks, and the coconut milk mixture. Stir everything together until the cheese is melted and the ingredients are well combined.

Transfer the mixture to an oven-proof dish and top with breadcrumbs. Bake in the oven at 350°F (180°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until the breadcrumbs are golden brown and crispy.

Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. This unique twist on mac and cheese is sure to be a hit with your family and friends!
