Today’s Recipe: Cinnamon-Spiced Pork Tacos with Pineapple Salsa

Hello, everyone! Today, I’m excited to share my latest culinary creation with you all. Inspired by a recent trip to a tropical paradise, I decided to combine the warm flavors of cinnamon-spiced pork with the fresh zing of pineapple salsa for a delicious twist on classic tacos. This dish is perfect for a summer gathering or a cozy night in with loved ones.

Ingredients:

  • 400g pork loin, sliced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup diced pineapple
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 8 small tortillas

Kitchen Tools:

  • skillet/li>
  • cutting board
  • knife
  • mixing bowl

To start, season the pork slices with cinnamon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the pork until browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into bite-sized pieces.

While the pork is cooking, prepare the pineapple salsa. In a mixing bowl, combine diced pineapple, chopped red onion, minced jalapeno, chopped cilantro, and lime juice. Mix well and set aside.

To assemble the tacos, warm the tortillas in the skillet for a few seconds on each side. Fill each tortilla with a generous portion of the cinnamon-spiced pork and top with a spoonful of the pineapple salsa.

With the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors, these cinnamon-spiced pork tacos with pineapple salsa are sure to be a hit at your next gathering.

Tip: For an extra burst of flavor, try grilling the pineapple before dicing it for the salsa. The caramelized edges will add a delicious smokiness to the dish.
