Unique Maple-Balsamic Lamb Chop Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 lamb chops (bone-in)
  • 100g blackberries
  • 1 fennel bulb
  • 30ml maple syrup
  • 15ml balsamic vinegar
  • 50g goat cheese
  • 30g pistachios

Kitchen Tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk

Preparation:

Start by preheating your oven to 180°C. Season the lamb chops with salt and pepper and grill them in a hot grill pan for 2-3 minutes per side until they are nicely browned. Transfer the chops to a baking dish and place them in the oven to finish cooking for about 10-15 minutes, depending on your preferred doneness.

While the lamb is cooking, prepare the accompaniments. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the maple syrup and balsamic vinegar to create a glaze. Slice the fennel bulb thinly and add it to the bowl, tossing to coat the slices.

Place the blackberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and roast them in the oven for 5-7 minutes to release their juices. Crush the pistachios slightly and crumble the goat cheese.

Assemble:

Once the lamb chops are cooked to your liking, remove them from the oven and brush them with the maple-balsamic glaze. Serve the lamb chops with the roasted blackberries, fennel slices, crumbled goat cheese, and crushed pistachios on top.

Tips:

For an extra burst of flavor, drizzle a bit of honey over the finished dish before serving. The sweet and savory combination will take the dish to the next level.
