My Unique Spin on Classic Meatloaf

Today, I am excited to share with you my twist on a classic comfort food dish, meatloaf. This recipe is perfect for a cozy night in or a family gathering. I love experimenting in the kitchen, and this unique combination of flavors is sure to surprise and delight your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • ground beef (500g)
  • ground pork (250g)
  • quinoa (100g)
  • mushrooms (150g)
  • sun-dried tomatoes (50g)
  • smoked paprika (10g)
  • maple syrup (30ml)
  • soy sauce (15ml)
  • garlic (2 cloves)
  • egg

Kitchen Tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • oven
  • loaf pan
  • skillet
  • chef’s knife

To start, preheat your oven to 180°C. In a skillet, sauté the mushrooms, garlic, and sun-dried tomatoes until they are tender. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, cooked quinoa, smoked paprika, maple syrup, soy sauce, and the sautéed mushroom mixture. Mix everything together until well combined.

Transfer the meatloaf mixture into a greased loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf. Crack the egg on top of the meatloaf, spreading it out evenly to create a glaze. Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes, or until fully cooked through.

Once the meatloaf is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve slices of the meatloaf with your favorite sides and enjoy the unique flavors of this dish!
