Cranberry-Lemonade Spritzer

Today, I wanted to share a refreshing homemade beverage that is perfect for sunny days or special celebrations. This Cranberry-Lemonade Spritzer is a delightful mix of sweet and tangy flavors that will brighten up any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 150g fresh cranberries
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 100g sugar
  • 500ml water
  • 300ml soda water
  • handful of ice cubes

Kitchen Tools:

  • saucepan
  • stirring spoon
  • fine mesh strainer
  • pitcher

To start, combine the fresh cranberries, lemon juice, sugar, and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir the mixture occasionally and allow it to simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and released their juices. The kitchen will be filled with a delightful fruity aroma as the cranberries cook down.

Once the cranberry mixture has simmered, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly. Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the mixture into a pitcher, pressing down on the cranberries to extract all the liquid. Discard the solids left in the strainer.

Now, add the soda water to the pitcher with the cranberry-lemon mixture and stir gently to combine. Taste the spritzer and adjust the sweetness level if needed by adding more sugar or lemon juice. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the Cranberry-Lemonade Spritzer over the ice. Garnish with a slice of lemon or fresh cranberries for an extra touch of elegance.

This Cranberry-Lemonade Spritzer recipe yields approximately 800g of the refreshing beverage, enough for about 4 servings. Each serving weighs around 200g and contains an estimated 80 calories, making it a guilt-free treat for any occasion.
